Vajra Kila Heruka (Dorje Phurpa)

Vajra Kila embodies the enlightened activity of all Buddhas, honored for his ability to remove obstacles, vanquish forces that oppose compassion, and cleanse spiritual impurities. One of his unique iconographic features is the Phurba or dagger he holds. Vajrakilaya is typically depicted with three different colored faces adorned by a crown of skulls: the central face is blue, the left is red, and the right is white. He possesses six arms: two hold the Phurba, two hold a vajra each, one has a flaming snare, and another a trident. Under his feet, he crushes demons that symbolize the barriers to spiritual realization.
