Vajradhara (Dorje Chang)

Vajradhara is the primordial Buddha in Vajrayana Buddhism, representing the pure, formless essence of all Buddhas-the dharmakāya, or truth body. Deep blue in color, he holds a vajra and bell crossed at his heart, symbolizing the union of wisdom and compassion. As the source of all tantric teachings, he is seen as the ultimate expression of enlightened mind and the true nature of all beings.
